A healthy body is important to all of us. While some people take their health more seriously than others, we can all appreciate the fact that when we lose our health, it is an uphill battle to get it back. That’s why it is important to do all we can to help maintain it. From eating the best foods possible to full body exercises, like swimming.

There are little things we do each day to help care for our bodies. We brush our teeth, take a shower and keep ourselves well groomed and clean. This helps to lower our risk of disease, while it prolongs our health. But these aren’t the only things we should be doing.

A good diet is also very important for maintaining our bodies. Fuel shouldn’t be looked at something you should avoid at all costs. Instead, it should be viewed as being the food your body needs in order to function properly. Just like gasoline, there are good fuels and others that contain additives that aren’t ideal for the operation of your car. In this case, natural foods that grow from the ground or fall from trees contain everything you need. These foods have all the micronutrients you need to survive. At the same time, they will help to keep your calorie intake to a minimum, without having high levels of sodium and fat, or any cholesterol at all.

Swimming into a Healthy Body

With a good diet and exercises like swimming in place, you’ll also remain flexible and strong. These are key parts to having good health. The more time you spend treading water, the better you’ll begin to look and feel. This is a great way to achieve a fitness level you’re looking for and swimming is actually a great deal of fun.

In fact, competitive swimming helps you to focus on a healthy body. There is a camaraderie and a support system in place to help push you to become the best swimmer you can become. This group will cheer you along on the sidelines as you head out there and do all you can to boost your times and work hard in the water. This will keep you motivated and help you to find your drive to spend more time in the water, which ultimately helps you to achieve the healthy swimmers body you’re looking for.

You’ll find that swimming feels less like exercise and more like a time spent with friends (like a college swimmer) when you head out to the pool together. Their determination and drive will inspire you so that you do push yourself harder in the water and that can help you to achieve the beautiful and healthy body of your dreams.

There is no denying that a healthy body is truly one of the most important things for all of us to have. Remember that in order to achieve it you do need to focus daily on exercises like swimming. It is also important to reduce your stress by doing things like spending time in the water and to eat a nutrient dense diet that is low in calories and fat, while coming from a natural source. If you do all that, you’ll find you do begin to look great and feel better faster than ever before.

Warm-up:  500 tai-chi style, 500 kick no board working on bouyancy

Drill: 8x50 alternating freestyle and backstroke

12x50 butterfly, 100 butterfly kick

6x100 backstroke, 100 backstroke kick

3x200 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke kick

1x200 Individual Medley

4x25 freestyle

Warm-down: 200 choice

Total: 3700 yards or meters depending on the length of your pool
